![]() Why? My BritBox, Acorn and other subscriptions won't allow me to sign in with an existing account either. Results: I checked my subscriptions in my Apple ID on my phone and found I had two separate subscriptions for Paramount + and CBS All Access Paramount +. ![]() I decided to test out what's happening by taking the free trial offer and going through the motions. Difficulty is that we can't sign into apps like Paramount+ and we can't find any way to do it without starting a new subscription. Since we get taken there from our HBO app and others like Paramount Plus, we thought it would be more streamlined to use one app when we can. Paramount + App in the Apple TV+ app on my Apple TV We are trying to utilize the Apple TV+ feature located at the top of the icons on the home screen of our Apple TV for as many of our subscriptions as possible. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? The apps themselves offer a better browsing experience than Apple Plus does, so I would really appreciate the ability to use those directly through this subscription. ![]() I have also tried Showtime Anywhere app, with similar disappointing results. The Showtime app doesn't work in the same fashion as the CBS app where it immediately recognized the subscription, so I am unable to log in or get this app to work without a different registration altogether. When using the Showtime app, it asks me to active using a "Service Provider" and Apple or Apple TV Plus are not an option. I can't do the same thing, or at least I'm struggling to figure out how. I was able to get the CBS All Access app to work independently of the Apple TV layout, the apps basically could link the accounts and CBS All Access works well on its own. This was actually a new bundle that also includes CBS All Access. Will post here and on other blog sites, forums what is discovered.I recently added Showtime to my Apple TV Plus subscription. That would mean we could use the "HBO Now" and "Showtime" apps via Apple TV. I am now considering my options, which are to unsubcribe my premium channels (HBO/Showtime) from Charter and purchase them outside the cable company. Seems like the Charter consumers are out of luck in this merger and this strange inconsistency which is exclusionary for a specific Apple device.I wonder if my local and federal representatives are aware of this strange contract before approving the merger? Mergers should be advantageous to the consumer. Time Warner/Spectrum subcribers CAN access their subscribed content via AppleTV. You can access your content via Apple mobile devices such as iPhone or iPad. If you were an existing Charter customer you now see Charter/Spectrum when you log into your content (like "HBO Go" or "Showtime Anytime"). So Spectrum, which was formerly called Charter.renamed itself and also purchased Time Warner in the last year or so. It appears that Charter/Spectrum subscribers are out of luck due to some crazy contract issue? The web browser is the computer I logged into to activate the account, not the apple tv session.Ĭan anyone advise what steps I should take to activate? Under the manage device section I can see a list with three columns, but no apple tv on the list So I look under the activate device section, there are only the following devices in the selection list: Okay.so I log in via my computer and input my timewarner/spectrum credentials.and there is no message to "activate" my apple tv. ![]() a "Success" message will appear here and you can begin using Showtime Anytime when requested, enter the Activation code displayed below.ģ. When attempting to use set up and use via my apple tv.the following directions are given:ġ. I have successfully used the app on my iphone and ipad. I am a charter (ie time warner/spectrum) subscriber. I am trying to use the showtime anytime app on my apple tv and cannot determine how to "activate". ![]()
